The First Division of the Illinois Womens Soccer League is a 7-week summer season for recreational and intermediate level women's soccer teams. Many teams have been playing in the league for several years, but newly-formed adult women's teams are encouraged to join this division. Players 18 and older are eligible (no maximum age).
If you are a returning team, you can register online or email Lynn to have your team copied over from a previous season.
If you have questions about this league, please email Lynn.Clementi.IWSL@gmail.com.
- If you are a player who does not have a team, please register as a free agent. There is no fee to register as a free agent. You will pay only if you are placed with a team.
- If you are a player that belongs to a team and you have not received an invitation to join your team from your captain (via email or on your IWSL dashboard), you may register as a Team Player and select your team's name from the list. Please do not request to join teams that you do not know.
- If you are a full team or a mostly full team that needs a few more players, please register as a Team. If you are a team manager or coach of a full team, but NOT A PLAYER, please select Coach or the Team Manager without the $22 player pass.
Captains, Coaches, Team Managers:
If you have a roster from a previous season you would like us to copy over for you, please stop and email Lynn.Clementi.IWSL@gmail.com. Copying a team over from a previous season gives you the option of having your players pay for their passes or having a team manager pay for all of the players' passes together.
Otherwise, it's easy to register and add players to your team. A team manager or captain will need the following information when signing up online:
- Team Name
- Main and Alternate Jersey Colors (This can be updated later if needed - email Lynn.Clementi.IWSL@gmail.com)
- Home Field Location and Kickoff Time (This can be updated later if needed - email Lynn.Clementi.IWSL@gmail.com)
After the team is registered, the captain/team manager must invite their players to complete their player registration and payment. All players must be registered no later than 1 week before the start of the season.
Team managers or captains that need assistance registering or want their team copied over from last season can email Lynn.Clementi@gmail.com.
Teams are responsible for:
- Referee Fees Paid in Cash at Each Game ($40 per team, per game)
- Numbered Jerseys for Each Player (Home and Away)
- A Printed Roster Presented to the Referee at Each Game
- Player Passes for Each Player ($22 each)
- Securing a Field for All Home Games (For assistance finding a field or to request a Certificate of Insurance per a facility's request, email Lynn)
- Abiding by the League Forfeit Policy and Game Confirmation Protocol
- 7 Regular Season Games - League Champion is Based on Standings
- All games are two 45-minute halves
- One Center Referee
- No Games on 4th of July Weekend
- Teams will have 3-4 Home Games and 3-4 Away Games
- If you have questions, schedule requests, or need additional players, please email Lynn.Clementi.IWSL@gmail.com
